Implementation of 1C: ERP in a water utility in Almaty

The state utility company on the right of economic management "Almaty Su" of the Department of Energy Efficiency and Infrastructure Development of the city of Almaty consists of one legal entity with an extensive organizational structure. The subject of activity, which is the provision of services in the field of water supply and sanitation of the city, and the development of the activities of water supply and sanitation systems of the city of Almaty and the Almaty region.

In January 2020, the management of the Enterprise decided to gradually introduce an ERP system based on the software product "1C: ERP 2. Enterprise Management for Kazakhstan" and the module "AlS: Personnel Accounting and Payroll" with full adaptation to the specifics of conducting business processes in the company . It was decided to start with the modules "Personnel Accounting" and "Payroll" in order to abandon the current system "Altyn Kadry". AlS Plus LLP (AMEGA group of companies) was chosen to implement the software solution at the Enterprise. The choice was influenced by the recommendations of previous clients, the experience of implementing similar 1C systems, the presence of a team of specialists and the adapted, author's methodology for the implementation of the project by Nikolaeva E.N., as well as the availability of author's developments "AlS: Personnel Accounting and Payroll". In the process of completing the implementation of the system, such available effects were obtained as:

  1. Elimination of triple entry of data about employees.

  2. Reducing the time for registering an order on the movement of an employee (acceptance, relocation, dismissal, vacation, recall from vacation, business trip) by at least 2 times.

  3. Full automation of the process of forming a time sheet and saving employees' resources at least 40 hours per month.

  4. Automation of the process of registration of disciplinary sanctions with entry into an electronic personal file, saving the time of a personnel specialist at least 15 minutes for each operation.

  5. Automation of the process of registration of non-material incentives by entering into an electronic personal file, saving the time of a personnel specialist at least 15 minutes for each operation.

  6. Automation, digitalization of an employee’s electronic personal file with a full package of data and analytics, saving time on searching for data and generating reports in various sections by at least 3 times.

  7. Creation of an electronic archive of all attached personnel data (passport, identity card, certificates, etc.) - saving time on searching for the necessary document in personal files by at least 3 times.

  8. Increasing the speed of reporting on personnel by more than 5 times.

  9. Minimizing data loss and increasing the speed of processing personnel data by the payroll service - more than 2 times.

  10. Automation of the monthly payroll process, taking into account changes in the approved monthly accrual - saving the specialist's time by at least 3 working days.

Thus, all the tasks set were implemented in the system in full.
